One of the 150,000 color cells from Disney's Snow White (USA 1937) was sold in 1991 for $203,000. The longest running primetime animated series is the Simpsons, which began in 1987. The first animated TV cartoon series was called 'Crusader Rabbit,' which ran from 1949 to 1951.
